Oman Producer Prices Rise 32.7% in Q2 Amid Oil Price Hike
Oman's producer prices surged by 32.7% in the second quarter compared to the same period last year, reversing a decline in the previous quarter.
The increase was driven by rising crude oil and natural gas prices, which rose 31.9%, according to data from the National Centre for Statistics and Information reported by Oman News Agency.
The growth comes as Oman continues its efforts to diversify its economy away from hydrocarbons, with the International Monetary Fund expecting real gross domestic product growth of about 3.7% in 2026, driven by higher oil production.
