OPEC+ Capacity Review Delayed Amid Iran Conflict Disruptions
OPEC+ has delayed its review of member countries' oil production capacity due to disruptions caused by the US-Israeli war on Iran.
The delay affects the 2027 oil output quotas, which are set to be determined after the completion of the capacity review.
The review is now expected to be completed by mid-November instead of the original deadline at the end of September 2026.
OPEC+ had ordered its production capacity review for all members in late 2025, with DeGolyer and MacNaughton working on capacity estimates for OPEC+ members except Russia, Iran, and Venezuela due to US sanctions.
