OPEC+ Countries Hold September Production Quotas for November
Seven key OPEC+ nations have chosen to keep their oil production levels steady for November, matching the quotas set in September 2026. The decision came after a virtual meeting on October 4, 2026, where participants assessed current and future oil market conditions. The group, which includes Saudi Arabia, Russia, Iraq, Kuwait, Kazakhstan, Algeria, and Oman, will continue its monthly meetings, with the next one scheduled for November 1.
In addition to production decisions, the Joint Ministerial Monitoring Committee (JMMC) emphasized the need to safeguard international maritime routes and energy infrastructure. The committee warned that any disruptions or attacks on these critical assets could lead to increased market volatility and potential threats to energy supply.
