OPEC+ Countries Maintain Oil Production Levels Ahead of Key Meeting
OPEC+ countries have decided to maintain oil production levels at September's required amounts for November. The seven member countries, including Saudi Arabia, Russia, Iraq, Kuwait, Kazakhstan, Algeria, and Oman, made this decision during their Joint Ministerial Monitoring Committee (JMMC) meeting.
According to the Ministry of Energy, the seven countries reaffirmed their commitment to the Declaration of Cooperation and will continue to hold monthly meetings to monitor market developments. The next meeting is scheduled for November 1.
The JMMC emphasized the importance of protecting international maritime shipping lanes to ensure a continuous flow of energy supplies. It also expressed concern over attacks targeting energy infrastructure, noting that restoring damaged facilities can be costly and time-consuming, affecting overall supply availability.
