OPEC+ Countries Maintain Oil Production Levels at Same Level as September
The OPEC+ group of seven countries, including Saudi Arabia and Russia, has decided to maintain oil production levels for November at the same level as September. This decision was made during a meeting of the Joint Ministerial Monitoring Committee (JMMC), which is responsible for monitoring compliance with production adjustments agreed upon in December 2024.
The committee emphasized the importance of protecting international maritime shipping lanes, citing concerns over attacks targeting energy infrastructure. It noted that restoring damaged facilities to full operating capacity can be costly and time-consuming, affecting the overall availability of supplies.
According to the statement from the Ministry of Energy, the seven countries will continue to hold monthly meetings to monitor market developments. The next meeting is scheduled for November 1.
