OPEC Oil Production Surges to 19.44 Million Barrels a Day
OPEC's oil production rose for the second time this year, increasing by 1.16 million barrels per day in August. This brings the total output to 19.44 million barrels a day, according to a recent survey by Bloomberg.
The surge in production is attributed to higher outputs in Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, and Iraq, which are all members of OPEC+
Despite this increase, tracking oil shipments remains a challenge due to disrupted shipping in the Persian Gulf and opaque data. This complexity makes it difficult to accurately assess the impact on global markets.
