OPEC+ Quota Review Delayed Amid Iran Conflict
The OPEC+ oil output quota review has been delayed due to the US-Israeli war on Iran, which disrupted expansion projects in the Middle East.
The review was initially set for completion by September 2026, but is now expected to be finished by mid-November.
OPEC+, a group comprising the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries plus Russia and other allies, had ordered its production capacity review for all members in late 2025 before setting 2027 quotas.
US petroleum consultant DeGolyer and MacNaughton is working on capacity estimates for OPEC+ members except Russia, Iran, and Venezuela due to US sanctions. The company won't submit its report until mid-November.
