OPEC has reduced its forecast for global oil demand growth by 200,000 barrels compared to its previous estimate in July. The organization's monthly report indicates that global oil demand is expected to reach 105.7 million barrels per day this year, with a growth rate of 580,000 barrels per day.

According to the report, oil production is anticipated to increase by 640,000 barrels per day in 2026, reaching a total of 54.8 million barrels per day. In contrast, OPEC expects oil demand growth to accelerate in 2027, with a projected rate of 2.16 million barrels per day.

While the exact reasons behind OPEC's revised forecast are not specified, the shift suggests that global energy consumption patterns may be evolving more slowly than previously anticipated.
