ORLEN and Naftogaz Expand LNG Cooperation to Supply Ukraine

ORLEN and Naftogaz are expanding their energy cooperation to supply liquefied natural gas (LNG) to Ukraine. The Polish company and Ukraine's state-owned gas firm have signed two memoranda of understanding to strengthen supplies to Ukraine.

The agreements will allow ORLEN to study the supply of three LNG shipments in 2027, which would enable it to expand its marketing operations and supply regional markets. ORLEN already has commercial capabilities and access to regasification infrastructure, which it uses in cooperation with Ukraine.

Naftogaz is seeking reliable gas sources and diversified routes due to attacks affecting domestic production facilities. The memoranda also contemplate potential cooperation in supplying petroleum products to the Ukrainian market, which would expand the scope of their relationship beyond natural gas.
