Gas prices in Pacific County remain high, averaging fourth highest in Washington state on September 2. According to AAA Washington's survey, regular gasoline sold for just under $5.70 per gallon, while diesel averaged $6.61 statewide. The statewide average price for regular gasoline is $5.44, a 24% increase from last year.

The national average for a gallon of regular gasoline has remained steady at $4.09, with crude oil prices hovering around $80 per barrel due to continued volatility in the Strait of Hormuz. This month is poised to set a new record as the most expensive August at the pump, surpassing the previous record set in 2022.
