Pakistan Eyes Reliable Energy Supplies through TAPI Pipeline

Pakistan's Ambassador to Turkmenistan Faryal Legari highlighted the importance of the TAPI gas pipeline in a congratulatory message to Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov on his birthday. She noted that the project was particularly significant due to the heightened risks to maritime routes amid conflicts in the Middle East.

The TAPI pipeline, which spans 1,800 kilometers and will transport up to 33 billion cubic meters of gas annually from Turkmenistan's Galkynysh field to Afghanistan, Pakistan, and India, is seen as a key route for regional energy integration. Legari emphasized that the project would provide reliable, diversified, and affordable energy supplies to Pakistan, reducing its dependence on volatile international markets.

Turkmenistan views the TAPI pipeline as one of the main routes for diversifying gas exports and strengthening regional economic integration. The country's large natural gas reserves and Pakistan's growing demand create a basis for mutually beneficial energy cooperation.
