Pakistan Gold Prices Plummet $18 Fall in International Market

Gold prices in Pakistan plummeted by Rs1,800 per tola on Wednesday, following a decline in international bullion rates. According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association (APSGJA), the price of 24-karat gold dropped to Rs453,936 per tola.

The association also reported that the price of 10-gram gold fell by Rs1,544 to Rs389,176, while silver rates decreased by Rs30 to Rs7,008. The 10-gram rate of silver dropped by Rs25 to Rs6,008.

The decline in prices is attributed to a drop of $18 in the international market, where gold settled at $4,314 per ounce. Local prices in Pakistan are typically benchmarked to global rates with a premium of $20 per ounce.
