Gold prices in Pakistan dropped by Rs1,000 per tola on Tuesday, as the global market trend took its toll. According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Association, the price of 24-karat gold fell to Rs462,136 per tola. In contrast, silver rates rose by Rs10 per tola to reach Rs7,069.

The decline in gold prices is attributed to a cautious approach adopted by investors ahead of key US inflation data release. This has led to subdued global bullion markets, which in turn affects precious-metal rates in Pakistan.
