Pakistan Gold Prices Plummet Amid Global Market Decline
Gold prices in Pakistan plummeted on Saturday as the precious metal's value dropped in line with the international market trend. The price of 24-karat gold per tola fell by Rs3,700 to settle at Rs426,736, according to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Association (APGJA). This decline is mirrored in the global bullion market, where gold slipped to $4,043 per ounce.
The price of silver also registered a decrease in the local market. The price of silver per tola fell by Rs57 to Rs6,237, while 10 grams of silver became Rs49 cheaper, reaching Rs5,347.
Investors often turn to gold as a safe-haven investment during periods of economic instability and inflation. However, this trend may be changing, with the current decline in gold prices reflecting a shift in market sentiment.
