Gold prices in Pakistan took a hit on Saturday, plummeting by Rs3,700 per tola. The All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association (APSGJA) reported that 24-karat gold dropped to Rs426,736 per tola, while the price of 10-gram gold fell to Rs365,857.

The decline in gold prices was directly linked to a fall in international bullion rates. Gold settled at $4,043 per ounce in global markets, down by $37 from its previous value. Local prices in Pakistan are typically benchmarked to global rates with a premium of $20 per ounce.

Silver rates also decreased, dropping by Rs57 to Rs6,237, and the 10-gram rate fell by Rs49 to Rs5,347.
