Gold prices in Pakistan plummeted on Saturday, mirroring losses in the international bullion market. The All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association (APSGJA) reported that the price of 24-karat gold dropped by Rs3,700 per tola, falling to Rs426,736 per tola from Rs430,436 in the previous session.

The price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold also declined, down by Rs3,202 to Rs365,857. Meanwhile, silver prices moved lower as well, with the price of silver per tola decreasing by Rs57 to Rs6,237.

Bullion dealers attribute the downward trend to persistent global economic uncertainty, evolving monetary policies of major central banks, inflationary pressures, and shifting demand for safe-haven assets. Market analysts believe that the direction of the US dollar, global economic conditions, and developments in international financial markets will remain key factors determining gold prices.
