Gold prices in Pakistan took a hit on Tuesday as global bullion rates dipped. According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association, the price of 24-karat gold fell by Rs500 per tola to Rs427,936.

The decline was triggered by a modest dip in international gold prices, where the precious metal lost $5 per ounce to trade at $4,055. This influenced domestic market rates, resulting in the decrease in Pakistan.

However, silver bucked the trend and rose in value. The price of 24-karat silver increased by Rs60 per tola, reaching Rs6,351.
