Pakistan Gold Prices Soar as Iran-US Talks Spark Investor Optimism
Gold prices surged in both Pakistan and global markets as investors' sentiment improved following potential negotiations between Iran and the US. In Pakistan, 24-karat gold prices jumped Rs10,000 per tola to reach Rs437,936, while silver prices rose by Rs273 per tola to Rs6,624.
The increase in local bullion rates was largely driven by a $100 rise in global gold prices, pushing the international price to $4,155 per ounce. This sharp increase is attributed to optimism surrounding the possible negotiations between Iran and the US, which has boosted investor confidence.
