Pakistan Gold Prices Soar on International Market Rally
Gold prices in Pakistan rose significantly on Wednesday following an increase in the international market. According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association, 24-karat gold rates reached Rs457,236 per tola, a rise of Rs7,900 from the previous day.
The price of 10-gram gold also increased by Rs6,773 to Rs392,006, while silver rates rose by Rs1,140 to Rs6,942 per tola.
The association attributed the increase in gold prices to a rise of $79 to $4,347 per ounce in the international market. Typically, gold prices in Pakistan are adjusted with a premium of $20 against international rates.
It is worth noting that silver rates also saw an increase, rising by Rs1,140 to Rs6,942 per tola and 10-gram silver rates rose by Rs120 to Rs5,951.
