Pakistan Gold Prices Soar Rs21,300 in Two Days Amid Global Rally

Gold prices in Pakistan surged to a new high on August 6, reaching Rs449,236 per tola. The price of 24-karat gold increased by Rs11,300 per tola in a single day, and has now gained Rs21,300 in just two trading sessions.

The strong rally in the bullion market mirrors a significant jump in international gold prices, where spot gold surged by $113 per ounce to $4,268. Market experts attribute this increase to increased demand for safe-haven assets as investors closely monitor global economic developments and interest rate expectations.

Jewellers warned that the rapid price increase may temporarily dampen retail demand, but investment demand is expected to remain firm if international bullion prices continue their upward trajectory.
