Pakistan Gold Prices Soar to Record High

Gold prices in Pakistan have surged to new heights as domestic bullion markets continued their upward rally on Tuesday, August 11. According to the latest rate sheet issued by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), 24-karat gold per tola increased by Rs 2,400, reaching a record high of Rs 459,736.

The price increase is significant, with 10 grams of 24K gold also witnessing an increase of Rs 2,058 to settle at Rs 394,149. In comparison, silver prices in the domestic market posted gains as well, with 24-karat silver trading at Rs 6,965 per tola (+Rs 62) and Rs 5,971 per 10 grams (+Rs 53).

The global market's performance is also being closely watched by investors. As of now, spot gold traded near $4,373 per ounce as investors remained focused on global economic updates and upcoming inflation metrics for further direction on interest rate policies.
