Pakistan Raises Petrol Price Amid Falling Global Crude Prices
The Shehbaz government in Pakistan has revised petroleum prices, increasing petrol by Rs2.02 per litre while reducing high-speed diesel (HSD) by Rs3.59 per litre.
This move comes despite a decline in global crude oil prices, with Brent crude falling $1.34 or 1.3% to $105.26 per barrel and West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude declining $1.83 or 1.9% to $92.78 per barrel.
The revised petroleum prices will be effective from September 26 to September 28, 2026, under the government's petroleum pricing mechanism.
