Pakistan Raises RLNG Prices by Up to 34.6% Amid LNG Supply Crunch

Pakistan's Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (Ogra) has increased the prices of re-gasified liquefied natural gas (RLNG) by up to 34.6% for July, as the country continues to grapple with disruptions in LNG supplies from Qatar.

The largest increase will be faced by consumers served by Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC), who will see RLNG prices rise by $6.4512 per million British thermal units (MMBtu) to $25.087 per MMBtu, representing a 34.6% hike.

Customers of Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) will pay $25.8388 per MMBtu, up $6.316, or 32.35%, from the previous rate.

The price increase follows a significant drop in LNG imports, with Pakistan receiving only five LNG cargoes during July, marking the third-lowest monthly import volume since the country began importing the fuel.
