Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and Turkiye Unite Against Houthi Attacks
Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and Turkiye are holding an urgent meeting of their military chiefs to discuss providing support to Riyadh under their joint defense agreement. The move comes as tensions escalate between Saudi Arabia and Yemen's Houthis, who have targeted several military sites inside Saudi Arabia and oil facilities belonging to Saudi Aramco.
The three countries signed the Mecca Joint Defense Agreement on August 7, which treats an armed attack on any one of them as an attack on all. The pact builds on a bilateral Saudi-Pakistani framework formalized on September 17, 2025.
