Pakistan Secures Second LNG Shipment from Qatar via Strait of Hormuz

Pakistan has secured another liquefied natural gas (LNG) shipment from Qatar via the Strait of Hormuz, despite ongoing geopolitical disruptions. This is the second Qatari delivery this month, with Al Marrouna arriving at Pakistan's Port Qasim earlier.

The LNG tanker in question loaded its cargo from Qatar's Ras Laffan facility in late June and crossed the Strait of Hormuz over the weekend. It is expected to reach Pakistan's LNG import facility by Tuesday, according to ship-tracking data.

This development provides some relief to Pakistan as it faces a growing energy crunch. The country had been considering a tender if the shipment didn't get through Hormuz, but a successful delivery is preferable for the government to avoid buying expensive shipments from the spot market.
