Pakistan Wheat Import Tender Sees $339 Per Tonne Offer From Bunge

The Trading Corporation of Pakistan (TCP) has received an offer to import wheat at $339.36 per tonne, according to initial assessments by European traders.

The offer, submitted by trading house Bunge for around 60,000 tonnes, was the lowest reported price in the tender that closed on Monday.

The tender aims to import 185,000 tonnes of wheat, but the country is facing tighter and more expensive supplies following fighting that has disrupted seaborne exports from the Black Sea region.

Traders expect the state agency to decide on the tender in the coming days as alternative wheat supplies are available but at a higher cost.
