The gold market in Pakistan saw a significant increase on August 3, 2026, as international bullion prices rebounded to $4,060 per ounce. According to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Association (APGJA), the price of 24-karat gold rose by Rs1,700 per tola to Rs428,436, while its price per 10 grams increased by Rs1,457 to Rs367,314.

The recovery in global bullion prices provided support to domestic gold rates, which generally follow international market trends. Market participants attributed the increase in gold prices to renewed buying in global bullion markets, with investors seeking portfolio diversification and protection against economic and geopolitical uncertainty.

Bullion traders warned that price volatility is likely to persist in the coming days as investors closely monitor global economic indicators, monetary policy expectations, and geopolitical developments that could influence international gold prices.
