Pakistani Government Condemns Drone Attacks on Saudi Oil Pipeline

Pakistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly condemned the drone attacks on Saudi Arabia's East-West Pipeline, calling them a 'flagrant violation of international law' and a threat to regional peace.

The pipeline, which spans over 1,200 kilometers across the Arabian Peninsula, has been a key route for global oil supplies since the Strait of Hormuz was largely shut due to war. It carries around 4 million to 5 million barrels per day, accounting for 4% to 5% of global supply.

Saudi Arabia temporarily closed the pipeline as a precaution after the drone attack, which both Baghdad and Riyadh attributed to Iraq. US President Donald Trump pointed fingers at Iran, saying it was 'probably' responsible.
