Paknejad Resigns as Iran's Oil Minister Amid Ongoing Tensions
The Iranian Minister of Oil, Mohsen Paknejad, has resigned from his position due to personal issues. The announcement was made by state broadcaster IRIB, stating that Paknejad had initially offered his resignation but it was rejected by President Masoud Pezeshkian. However, the president ultimately accepted Paknejad's decision and thanked him for his service.
Paknejad has been replaced by Hamid Bovard, the CEO of the National Iranian Oil Company, who will serve as acting Minister of Oil until a permanent replacement is found.
