Pantheon Electrifies with 33% Recycled Copper Feed
Pantheon Electric has made significant strides in its circular manufacturing push by increasing recycled copper to 33% of its companywide feedstock. This effort aims to strengthen copper supply security while reducing energy use, which is essential as demand for the conductive metal grows exponentially.
The Pantheon mill in Leetsdale, Pennsylvania, now recycles over 100 million pounds of copper scrap annually, producing highly conductive products. CEO Gregory Smith emphasizes that companies shouldn't have to choose between sustainability and performance.
Pantheon supplies wire and other electrification products to approximately 2,500 companies in the United States. The company believes increasing recycled content will provide customers with a more reliable source of copper as global demand begins to challenge supply.
