Pavlodar Refinery Maintenance Postponed Amid Peak Demand
Kazakhstan's national oil and gas company KazMunayGas has postponed maintenance at its Pavlodar oil chemistry refinery from 2026 to 2027. The decision aims to ensure stable production and uninterrupted supplies of petroleum products during the period of heightened seasonal demand.
The move is part of an effort to minimize the risk of localized fuel shortages and maintain a reliable supply of fuel and lubricants to the domestic market.
KazMunayGas has been working to improve the reliability of the country's oil refineries, with the Shymkent refinery already operating on a three-year maintenance cycle. Work is underway at the Pavlodar refinery to extend the periods between major maintenance operations.
