Gold Futures Soar Rs 1,283 on Firm Spot Demand and Speculator Activity
Gold prices surged by Rs 1,283 to Rs 1.63 lakh per 10 grams in futures trade on Monday, as speculators created fresh positions due to a firm spot demand.
The Multi Commodity Exchange saw the yellow metal contracts for October delivery trading higher by Rs 1,283, or 0.79 percent, at Rs 1,63,721 per 10 grams with a business turnover of 3,424 lots.
Analysts noted that fresh positions built up by participants led to the rise in precious metal prices.
