PCE Data Looms Large Over Markets, US Stock Futures Rise
US stock futures rose ahead of the release of the US August Personal Consumption Expenditures (PCE) data, which is the Federal Reserve's preferred inflation gauge.
The Dow Jones futures increased by 0.5%, while S&P 500 and Nasdaq 100 futures rose by 0.3% and 0.2%, respectively.
The yield on the 10-year US Treasury note edged down to 5.21% as investors await the PCE data, which is expected to accelerate on a monthly basis in August.
According to JPMorgan's commodities research team, the crude oil market has largely normalized despite ongoing regional conflict, with substantial recovery on the supply side confirmed by recent data.
