Pennsylvania Gas Output Hits Two-Year Low Amid Weak Prices

Pennsylvania's unconventional natural gas production has been on a downward trend, according to recent data from the state. In the second quarter of this year, output fell by 1.6% compared to the same period last year, reaching its lowest level since the end of 2024.

The decline is attributed to weak prices, which have put pressure on producers in the Appalachian Basin. The region's gas prices are currently at two-year lows, making it challenging for companies to remain profitable.
