Pennsylvania Leads the Way in Energy-Driven Job Creation

As Americans celebrate Labor Day, it's essential to acknowledge the people who build and power this country. Workers like those in Pennsylvania are crucial to the nation's development, constructing roads, buildings, and energy infrastructure that support a growing economy.

The state of Pennsylvania is at the forefront of this moment, with its vast natural gas reserves serving as the foundation for a new wave of construction, manufacturing, and power generation. Homer City, once home to the largest coal-fired power plant in the state, is now being transformed into a massive natural gas-powered energy campus.

With over 1,300 skilled workers on site, this project is expected to support more than 10,000 direct jobs during construction. Additionally, projects like the transformation of the former Bruce Mansfield coal plant site in Beaver County and the Northeast Supply Enhancement pipeline are creating thousands of construction jobs and permanent positions.
