Peoria Gas Prices Surge Amid Crude Oil Volatility
Gas prices in Peoria have surged again due to continued volatility in the crude oil market. According to AAA Arizona, prices at the pump jumped 8 cents this week, settling at $4.69 a gallon. This is up from last year's price of $3.52 per gallon at this time.
The national average is approaching its record high of $4.56 set on May 21. Crude oil remains high, averaging $100 per barrel amid volatility in the Strait of Hormuz.
David Caltabiano, AAA Mountain West Group spokesperson, attributed the rising prices to the current state of the crude oil market.
