Pertamina Holds Fuel Prices Amid Crude Oil Surge
Pertamina, Indonesia's state-owned fuel distributor, has announced that it will keep the prices of subsidized and non-subsidized fuels unchanged for October. This decision comes despite global crude oil prices rising above $100 per barrel last month.
The company typically reviews prices for non-subsidized fuels on the first day of each month, based partly on global oil prices and the rupiah exchange rate. However, Pertamina has decided not to make any changes in October, citing various factors and economic conditions affecting consumers.
Pertamax Green 95 will remain at Rp19,150 ($1.15) per liter, while Pertamax Turbo will stay at Rp19,600 per liter. Dexlite rose to Rp23,700 from Rp19,700 last month, but its price remains the same for October. The prices of subsidized Pertalite and BioSolar also remain unchanged at Rp10,000 and Rp6,800 per liter, respectively.
Pertamina Vice President of Corporate Communication Kitty Andhora said that the company is considering various factors before making any changes to fuel prices.
