Petrobras Signs 20-Year LNG Deal with Sempra Infrastructure
Sempra Infrastructure has signed a long-term liquefied natural gas (LNG) supply agreement with Petrobras, Brazil's state-owned oil company. The deal will provide LNG to Sempra's Port Arthur LNG Phase 2 expansion in Texas, which is currently under construction and targeted for startup between 2030-2031.
The agreement covers a significant volume of LNG, with Petrobras set to take 0.8 million tons per year (Mt/y) from the project. This adds commercial support to the Phase 2 expansion, as Sempra continues to advance its development.
