Petrobras Smashes Oil Production Records with 14.1% Quarter-on-Quarter Surge
Petrobras posted a record oil and gas production of 3.34 million barrels of oil equivalent per day (boe/d) in the second quarter of 2026, marking a 14.1% increase from the same period in 2025.
The state-controlled company attributed this gain to the ongoing ramp-up of major pre-salt projects in the Santos basin and enhanced operational efficiency across its offshore assets.
Petrobras also noted that production climbed 3.4% from the first quarter, supported by rising volumes from several key fields, including the Jubarte field, Mero field, and Buzios field.
