Petrol Prices Rise, Diesel Falls Amid Global Oil Market Strain
The Administrative Council of Moldova's ANRE has announced new maximum prices for fuel. As of September 2, 95-octane petrol will cost 31.53 lei per litre, a 28 bani increase from the current price. Diesel, on the other hand, will be priced at 32.69 lei per litre, a decrease of 20 bani.
The global oil refining capacity is under strain due to increased attacks on refineries in the Middle East and Russia. According to an analytical report by Goldman Sachs, this has pushed petroleum product margins to new highs. The report states that a full resumption of refining requires a reduction in geopolitical tensions worldwide.
