Petronas Gas Stock Holds Steady Amid Parent Group's Profit and Revenue Growth
Petronas Gas stock has held steady despite its parent group Petronas reporting higher profit and revenue for the first half of 2026. The Petronas group's profit after tax reached RM27.2 billion, a 4 percent increase from the same period in 2025, while revenue grew by 15 percent to RM152.4 billion.
The growth was driven by higher domestic production and increased sales volumes of liquefied natural gas (LNG) and processed gas. The company maintained a favorable average realized price across its main product portfolio, supporting the revenue uplift alongside volume growth.
Petronas Gas operates a portfolio centered on gas processing plants, transmission pipelines, and regasification terminals that form a critical part of Malaysia's domestic gas value chain and export infrastructure.
