Petrox Resources (PTC) is attempting to turn stranded and flared gas in Saskatchewan and Alberta into on-site power for computing infrastructure, layering a gas-to-compute strategy onto its legacy oil and gas base.

The Calgary-based energy company has signed a non-binding term sheet covering the supply of natural gas to on-site power generation across its Alberta and Saskatchewan acreage, alongside a cooperation agreement with PCC Digital and Bennu Holdings.

Petrox is positioning itself around what it calls the Convergence, converting stranded and flared Natural Gas into on-site power generation and computing capacity rather than simply selling it into pipeline networks.
