Pezeshkian Appoints Bovard as Caretaker Oil Minister
Iran's Oil Minister has resigned, prompting President Pezeshkian to appoint a caretaker minister. The decree, issued on Sunday, cited Article 135 of the Constitution and highlighted Bovard's commitment, competence, and executive experience as key reasons for the appointment.
In the decree, President Pezeshkian emphasized that the new caretaker minister should rely on divine guidance and work within the constitutional framework. The appointment aims to align with the objectives of the Vision Document, the general policies approved by the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, and the Seventh Development Plan.
The president also reminded the caretaker minister to observe the ethical charter for officials of the national unity government and interact with the Council of Ministers. The expectation is that the caretaker will make every effort to advance the government’s objectives and address the country’s problems.
