PGAS Secures 5.45 Billion BBTUD Gas Deal with MontD'Or Oil
PT Perusahaan Gas Negara (Persero) Tbk (PGAS), Indonesia's state-owned gas company, has signed a significant agreement to purchase natural gas from MontD'Or Oil, a Qatari oil and gas company operating in the Tungkal block of Jambi.
The deal will see PGAS receive 5.45 billion British Thermal Units per Day (BBTUD) of gas supplies between 2026 and 2034.
PGAS Commercial Director Aldiansyah Idham stated that this cooperation is a strategic step in strengthening the utilization of national natural gas as a reliable, competitive, and sustainable energy source.
Aldiansyah emphasized that the additional gas supply will enhance PGAS' business reliability in distributing gas to customers across Sumatra and expressed hope for further collaborations with SKK Migas, gas producers, and PGN to integrate domestic natural gas supplies through pipeline networks and liquefied natural gas (LNG).
