PGN Strengthens Customer Safety Culture through Gas Subscription Safety Education Program
PT Perusahaan Gas Negara (Persero) Tbk (PGN), a leading gas distributor in Indonesia, continues to prioritize customer safety through its Gas Bumi Subscription Safety Education Program. The program aims to educate customers on safe natural gas usage practices and emergency procedures.
Recently, PGN's Jakarta Area collaborated with the Unit Pengelola Rumah Susun (UPRS) II and the DKI Jakarta Provincial Housing and Settlement Area Service to hold an education session for household customers at Rusunawa Marunda in North Jakarta. The activity was attended by neighborhood managers and residents who are PGN natural gas customers.
During the session, participants learned about the importance of safety culture in daily natural gas usage, including recognizing potential risks, understanding preventive measures, and knowing the right actions to take during emergency situations. The program also covered how to check for leakage, emergency response steps when smelling gas, and the use of customer service channels.
PGN's General Manager of Sales and Operation Region II, Iwan Yuli Widyastanto, emphasized that safety is a top priority in every aspect of PGN's service to customers. He stated, 'Safety is not only the responsibility of PGN, but also requires the active participation of all customers.'
The company believes that a safety culture can only be realized through continuous education and collaboration between all stakeholders. The Gas Bumi Subscription Safety Education Program will continue to be expanded to various residential areas, apartment buildings, and other service areas.
