Crude oil futures declined by 2% to ₹8,876 per barrel on Friday as traders booked profits after the recent rally.

The decline came despite Brent crude prices holding near $100 amid geopolitical tensions in West Asia keeping supply concerns alive.

Anindya Banerjee, Head of Commodity and Currency Research at Kotak Securities, said that Brent crude prices are holding near $100 after crossing the level for the first time in two months this week.
