Port of Vancouver Sets Record Grain Export Volume

The Port of Vancouver has moved a record-breaking 17.4 million tonnes of bulk grain exports in the first half of the year, marking a 14% increase from the same period last year.

This growth was largely driven by strong demand for canola seed, specialty crops like lentils and peas, and barley, which saw significant increases in exports to countries such as China, Europe, Mexico, and Pakistan.

The Port of Vancouver is Canada's largest and most diversified port, with 29 major terminals and over 1,000 tenants. It handles more cargo volume than the next five largest ports in Canada combined.
