Portland Grain Bids Steady Amid Modest Gains in Wheat Prices
The Portland Daily Grain Bids report for September 15, 2026, shows that most basis values in Pacific Ports grain bids remained unchanged. However, several wheat prices posted modest gains.
US #1 Club White Wheat with 10.5 percent protein carried a basis of $6.7500 to $7.2500 per bushel, unchanged, for an average price of $7.0625 per bushel. This is compared to $6.1667 per bushel a year earlier.
US #1 Hard Red Winter Wheat bids were also unchanged in basis across all listed protein levels, while prices moved higher. Ordinary protein held a basis of -25.00Z to -10.00Z cents per bushel, unchanged, with prices of $7.7000 to $7.8500 per bushel, up 0.0250, for an average of $7.8000 dollars.
The report also noted that US #2 Heavy White Oats showed a current bid of $260.00 per ton, unchanged, for an average of $260.00 per ton.
