Precious Metals Prices Climb on NYMEX
The New York Merchantile Exchange (NYMEX) has reported an increase in precious metals prices. On September 25, gold futures rose by 0.58% to $4287.90 per troy ounce, while silver futures increased by 0.85% to $64.00. Platinum futures saw the largest gain, rising by 2.77% to $1800.80.
The NYMEX is a US futures market founded in 1882 and operates through two divisions: the NYMEX Division and the COMEX Division. The NYMEX Division focuses on trades involving oil, gas, platinum, palladium, ethanol, coal, electricity, and carbon dioxide emissions, while the COMEX Division handles gold, silver, copper, and aluminum.
