PrimeEnergy Sees Strong Oil Prices Offset by Natural Gas Pricing Challenges
PrimeEnergy Resources Corporation (NASDAQ: PNRG) released its second-quarter 2026 financial and operating results, showing net income of $6.5 million, or $4.06 per basic share.
This represents a significant increase from the second quarter of 2025, when the company reported net income of $3.2 million, or $1.94 per basic share.
The strong oil prices in Q2 2026 were offset by negative natural gas prices in the Permian Basin, resulting in average realized natural gas price declining to negative $3.53 per Mcf and negative natural gas revenue of $9.2 million.
